There are some hand sanitizers that are alcohol-free, and these wont be as effective in killing bacteria and viruses. A hand sanitizer consists of a pretty basic formula, and its easy to make your own at home if your local pharmacy or retailer is running low.
We over here are using WHO recommend formulation in the app. Just put how much sanitizer you want to make in mL and then the app will provide you the composition of IPA, water, glycerol, Hydrogen peroxide mix them together.
Only pharmacopoeial quality reagents should be used (e.g. The International Pharmacopoeia) and not technical grade products.
